Our Values

The cattery is run and managed strictly in line with our values, the welfare of the cats comes first and we exceed the welfare standards demanded by our local authority licensing board.

Belle Ayr Peace of Mind

When you purchase a kitten or cat from Belle Ayr you receive much more than just the animal.

All our cats are fully vaccinated against feline enteritis (panleucopaenia) virus (FPV), feline calicivirus (FCV) and, if required, feline herpesvirus (FHV). You will receive the animal's vaccination record along with the cat.

All our animals sold as active or for export are checked by our vet prior to departure. This includes checking for heart murmurs, abdominal palpitations, hernias, eyes, ears and teeth. Our vets are government registered to issue export health certificates.

Vet checked cats are provided with a certificate (pdf) of this check that you can give to your vet and insurance company as proof of the cat’s health.

We can arrange the same check for UK pet sales for an additional fee.

All our cats are club registered pedigree cats and you will receive a physical copy of their club registration.

All cats under one year old come with four weeks free Pet Plan insurance.

We provide some toys and food for your new pet, along with the option for you to purchase additional food at a discount on retail costs.

Showing Pet Kittens

All of our kittens / cats that are sold as Pets may not be shown unless a show contract is agreed prior to purchase.

Please be aware that show standards vary by club. Our show cats meet most club standards like ANCATs, NZCF, WCF, TICA and FiFe.

If you are interested in showing please let us know as this will form part of your contract.
